ZHUHAI JINWAN AIRPORT LAUNCHES INTERNATIONAL CARGO ROUTE BETWEEN ZHUHAI AND CEBU

On March 29, a JD.comAirlines B737-800 freighter took off from Zhuhai Jinwan Airport and flewdirectly to Cebu, the Philippines, marking the official launch of the"Zhuhai-Cebu" international cargo route. This route primarilytransports cross-border e-commerce goods, with an initial plan of two weeklyflights.

It is understood that thenewly opened Zhuhai to Cebu freight route marks another significant expansionin the international freight network layout for Zhuhai Jinwan Airport,following the launch of routes to Delhi, India and Clark, the Philippines.

Cebu is the second-largestcity in the Philippines and serves as the economic hub and key commercialgateway of the Visayas archipelago. Previously, Zhuhai Jinwan Airport hadestablished a cargo route to Clark on Luzon Island. The launch of the Ceburoute extends its service coverage from northern Philippines to the centralarchipelago, achieving comprehensive access to major economic zones ande-commerce consumer markets across the country.

With the coordinatedoperation of the Clark and Cebu routes, Zhuhai Jinwan Airport has establishedan international cargo network featuring a "Delhi backbone plus dualhigh-frequency points in the Philippines," with 12 internationalfull-cargo flights per week, accelerating the formation of a "4-hour airlogistics circle" covering Southeast Asia.

Xue Shuting, General Managerof Zhuhai Airport International Smart Logistics Co., Ltd., a subsidiary ofZhuhai Transportation Holding Group Co., Ltd., noted that the Philippines isone of the fastest-growing e-commerce markets in Southeast Asia, with itse-commerce market size expected to exceed $20 billion by 2025. The expansion ofZhuhai Jinwan Airport's flight routes aims to support the national "Beltand Road" Initiative and meet the demand of enterprises in the Greater BayArea for expanding overseas markets. This will provide businesses with timelydelivery guarantees of "same-day shipping and next-day arrival in thePhilippines." The high-frequency, high-density flight network willeffectively reduce corporate logistics costs and enhance the competitiveness of"Made in China" in the Southeast Asian market.

It is predicted that withthe increase in flight routes, the monthly average international cargo volumeof Zhuhai Airport is expected to exceed 2000 tons from April, and is expectedto exceed 15000 tons by the end of August this year, laying a solid foundationfor the official opening of the airport port.

Since being approved fortemporary opening of international cargo functions in August 2025, ZhuhaiAirport is accelerating its development into a regional air cargo hub thatradiates to western Guangdong, serves the Bay Area, and faces Southeast Asia.
